IN LOVING MEMORY OF JOHN HUGHEY

It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that I must make this post about a dear friend…..not just of mine…but of so many in the world. In remembrance of this great person, I have changed our music in the International Steel Guitar Conference Center to all John Hughey music. John supported our efforts there and gave me his blessings. He allowed us the opportunity to share his work with all of you and I will continue with that for the next several days as a tribute and memorial for John. You are invited to visit and listen to John's music free of charge for the next few days…in order that you may listen and reflect on any memories you may have of John. Someone once said that John was an Angel and I know that he was…..and he has just been promoted to a front office job. Rest in Heavenly Peace my friend and thank you for all the great memories. I would ride out to the Station Inn to listen and talk with John often. He was a super kind person. One time we were out back talking and my brother Danny called my cell, John took the phone and answered,, Hi brother Danny this is brother John, He was the greatest! At the closing of the each gig, He would always say, Now Ron be careful on that Motorcyle.
I will miss him!

I remember another time. I let John know in advance that I was bringing a guest and a big fan of his, to hear and see him pick. He stopped the band and handed out charts for the first time on a new song he wrote. He dedicated this song to my guest. The song was entitled "My Weakness is too Strong" and the guest was my brother. John Hughey was a very thoughtful person. I am honored to have known him.
