Canadian Sunset

I have a great recording of Canadian Sunset by Buddy Emmons. Are there other recordings of this for steel guitar?
Did Jerry Byrd record it? One would think there would be many, since the glissando fits it so well and the steel guitar does the gliss so much better than any other instrument.
Many thanks in advance.

Lloyd Green also had a great cut on this tune. It was on his "Steel Ride," L.P.
I could be wrong but don't think Jerry Byrd ever recorded it. Just remember Jeff Newman recorded it too.

Jeff Newman also recorded "Canadian Sunset," on his last steel guitar CD project before he died.
The CD had 13 songs and was titled "Once In A Lifetime." He thought this was some of his best steel guitar work ever. I think it is a super CD. I listened to it alot still.
Hope this helps!
GOD bless!

I do recall that Herb Remington has recorded this tune. I can't remember the album. I think it is on a fairly recent CD cut.

A CD, available from Bob,by Michael Goodsell contains
the song. The album, called Steelin' Some Jazz, has
ten classics, including Girl From Ipanema, Misty and
The Shadow Of Your Smile. Michael is a fine steeler from Quebec, Canada.
