Hey all --
I have one of these Goodrich h10k pedals and really wanna start using it, but the string came off the pot shaft when it shipped (bought it used). it's still attached at both ends, but i think it's off of that little set screw on the shaft itself
can anyone post a pic and/or advice on getting it wrapped on there correctly? and how to set the on/off positions?
thanks in advance!

yeah - that diagram pretty much worked. the tricky part was getting it to turn all the way off. also, i'm a little concerned about the string staying where i set it -- we'll see how it holds.
thanks again,

The way I got mine right was to tighten the string with the pedal all the way up then again with it all the way down. _________________ Mullen RP D10, Peavey NV112, Hilton volume. Hound Dog reso. Piles of other stuff. |

bleh - i got through about 2 tunes at rehearsal (during which i was really liking the sound of the pedal) and the thing unwound enough so that i wasn't getting it to turn full 'off'.
what a pain. |

Mike--after I messed around in a 120 a while ago, I had slippage problems after I'd put it back together 'properly' (I thought). I had to go back in and do it a couple more times before I fixed it permanently enough that it has been fine for a couple of years. See if these photos are of any help:

thanks jon -- greg's post is terrific, and i was using it. however, on the 10k pedal i have the pot is oriented differently. i'll have to monkey around with some more at some point. hey, maybe my avatar can help!
thanks again.
