Sierra 14 Priced Updated and setup...........

Post by Dan Burnham »

Updated:
I have put 6 Floors & 5 Knees on this steel and have put 2 bellcranks on the guitar per floor and per knee. I'm currently using this as an experimental guitar. All you have to do is setup your tuning. Dropping price to $1300 + shipping for Christmas.

Hi Dan,

That is a Great Looking Steel Dan! It looks like the last one Julian THarpe played before he left us.
I got to play one like that but it wasn't for sale.

Your right. I had a chance to buy the one from Jack Goodson and I should have because that was the last one Julian Played.

Terry did you get the DVD?

I remember thinking about 15 years ago how cool it would be to have one of those. They just looked so sweet. Now that I can play a little, I wonder how often I'd be lost on an animal like that. Sometimes it's hard enough finding #4 on my E neck. And it only has 10 strings.

Yes this girl needs a new home. The guys in the lab are talking about using her for experimental tuning but she objects to this. Don't make the guys in my lab do this to this beautiful girl.

Bump for a great guitar and for my buddy Dan!!!!

this is a perfect guitar for anyone that wanted to experiment with the U12 tuning, but doesn't want to outlay alot of money at first.

Simple - with this guitar just take 2 strings off... The top and the bottom string at you've magically got it..

And only $1400, such a deal. This axe is in great shape too.

weight & status

Post by BUDDY BARROWCLIFF »

How much does this thing weigh and does it have the case with rollers.
You say it has been apart but your pic shows it together.
I think I can see 5 kness and you say it is capable of six. are they all with it.
What is your guess on shipping costs to say zip 18840
Thanks Buddy

Hello

Post by Dan Burnham »

Buddy,
It doesn't have the wheelez case. It is the standard case. It probably weighs in at 42 - 45 pounds I'm guessing.

Now I started to set it back up and had to stop, so it has all the parts, pull rods, bellcranks, to set it up 6 & 8.
I have pulled all the bellcranks off the guitar except 6 for the pedals. That is as far as I got. I was looking at doing some experimentation on the sweet baby. If I don't sell her, I will proceed.
I just got it back from my brother in West Tennessee.
Regarding shipping Buddy, I would think around 70.00 - 75.00 I guess.

Thanks,

Dan

Update!!!

Post by Dan Burnham »

I've setup 6 Floors & 5 knees with 2 bellcranks per floor & knee. All you have to do is put the rods on that match your tuning. Dropped price and did some setup to sell for Christmas.
