I've heard rumors that engraved on Rock Hudson's tombstone is:

"I Hate To Leave My Good Friends Behind"

I do know of a tombstone that reads:

"I Told You I Was Sick"

I don't see any need to have one at all, but if I had, it would read: EXPIRED!

The best one ever, though, belongs to Swedish author Fritiof Nilsson, a prominent humorist. In sloppy quick translation it reads:

"Here lie the ashes of a man who notoriously put everything off until tomorrow. Finally, he bettered his ways and really died on January the 31st, 1972"

In a cemetery in England:

Remember man, as you walk by, As you are now, so once was I. As I am now, so shall you be. Remember this and follow me.

To which someone replied by writing on the tombstone: "To follow you I'll not consent , Until I know which way you went."
