I'd like to find some tab for open D for non-country songs. Maybe some Lindley material, or stuff that has been transcribed that wasn't originally played on lap steel...

Can't help you in D but how about some Blues in E? Try John Dow's course. "Vintage Blues for Lap steel guitar" or something like that. Just search lap steels on Ebay and you'll find it lurking there. Best I can do on short notice, Keith.

Rob Anderlik has a small archive of weissenborn tabs in D on his website.
That's all I can think of...
