Anyone have experience using a D140 bass speaker for steel instead of D 130. I'm sure there must be something different about the voice coil and paper they use for cone. Just wondering if the high notes from steel would burn it out? Help
Correct me if I am wrong, but I have never heard of high frequences "burning out" a mid-range or woofer. Low frequencies can easily blow a mid-range or tweeter, that's what crossover networks are designed to prevent. But the reverse doesn't seem to be a problem.
