Guy up here selling a Peavey bandit 112 amp pretty cheap.

How are they as steal guitar amps? How do they compare to the Nashville 112?

It is a good price for a Bandit.
Bandit is nice for electric guitar and lap
steel, but you will not be satisfied with it
for steel. The speaker or preamp is not
designed for it.
I had a Express 112, nice amp but not for steel
I put a Nashville 112 speaker in and it was
better, but not until I got a Nashville 112 was
I satisfied.
Now the Valveking 112 will work for steel.

I recommend the Nashville 112. However, I was going to recommend changing the speaker in the Bandit to the Nashville 112 speaker but I guess that you have a first hand experience from Paul. The eq is OK, but it is not what works best for steel, in my opinion.

Hello Mike,
I always appreciate your expertise and comments on the forum pertaining to amps. Do you play pedal steel? Was just wondering.
Thanks,
Wayne Wallett
