I need an MP3 of Johnny Paycheck's A-11. Anyone out there have one? I'm trying to keep real country music alive here in western N.Y. Thanks.

Kevin:

Do you have Daryle Singletary's CD "That's Why I Sing This Way"? Daryle does a GREAT job on A-11. If you don't have it, please e-mail me.

I just want to interject something here. Although the song clip is on the Lloyd Green tribute website. The Paycheck recording in '65 did not have Lloyd on it. The steel player is Sonny Curtis. The tune was cut in N.Y.City using George Jones band except they used a studio bass player so Johnny could concentrate on his singing as he was Jone's bass player at the time. BTW, Sonny did a great job on the cut.

Hi Mike,

Sorry for the confusion - the link leads to the my Austrian Steel Guitar website which is embedded in the Lloyd Green website, that's why the link might indicate that it is on the Lloyd Green website.

You can also use the following link:

www.austriansteelguitar.at.tf

and then go to the "Steel Guitar Forum" page.

Thanks for making me aware!

Kind Regards, Walter

Walter, could you please email that cut? I have to copy it for the band. Mike, thats interesting history. I thought that it was Lloyd. Bruce, I tried to email you but it wouldn't go through. I'll take that Darryl MP3 if you could email it to me. Thanks.
