I've got an early 50's Fender Custom D-8, and need a few things:

1. Rubber ends for the legs

2. Brown leather handle for the case

3. Cap for the switch

Best source for these things?

Thanks,

jay

Rubber ends for legs - I found a nice selection of different sizes at Home Depot for my steel guitar legs.

Now is your opening Howard.

Should the leg rubbers on that guitar be black or white or are both correct?
My pushbutton Stringmaster has white ones which look good. I havn't noticed any mention about colour for these parts in past threads. Were black and white used interchangably?
I think white looks far better than black and seems the right thing for a 50's steel to ride on, as it would for a 50's car

Thanks for the advice guys- I really appreciate it!
On a related note: Does anybody have a diagram of how the volume and tone knobs should be wired? Same as a Telecaster?
Again, its an early 50's D-8 Custom

I haven't noticed a post on the brown handle. If you have a Ace Hardware in your area, they have them in stock. I use them on my custom cases for my lapsteels & the Gitfiddle. Will try to post some pic's when #2 Gitfiddle is completed. Andy Hinton

Andy, I hope you do, though I'm more interested in the Gitfiddle itself. Can you send me a pic of #1, or should I e-mail Wayne Cox? --Steve
