new guy introduction

I've lurked here from time to time over the years but just got around to registering.
I've been playing lapstyle for about 10 years as the mood strikes me. I'm still not very good, but I have fun trying.
I first got into lap guitar when I was working at a friend's (Bernie Larsen- Mellisa Etheridge, el-rayo-x)recording studio. He lent me a magnatone that was given to him by some guy named David Lindley, which meant nothing to me at the time.
Over the last few years I've collected a varied array of lap style instruments Including:
'56 national rocket
(2) Oahu small body birch squarenecks
K&N Weissenborn copy
Liberty copper top resonator w/ quarterman upgrades
the crappiest artisan steel known to man
More recently, I've gotten into homemade instruments and build cigar-box guitars (www.hcw3.com). I've collected cigar box insturments from a number of different builders and hope to one day own a kurt scheon turbo, who I noticed is a member here. I also own one of Mike Lowe's lowebros. I build a lap guitar called the ghettoborn which is a cross between a weissenborn and a danelectro made from pine and masonite.
I also recently picked this thing up:
It's a seven string standard with a ten lap bottom. It's chinese crap, but I'll get it plying good. I'm in the process of converting the lap portion from a 10 to an 8 and replacing the electronics. Anyone know where I can get an beefy 8 string bridge?
