Check out the song “Child, you’re forgiven” with the Gaither Vocal band,
featuring David Phelps on youtube ,especially the vocal voicings on the Chorus.
It starts out slowly with Bill Gaither, but after it hits the chorus, it's as bluesy and gospel as you can get.
I can visualize a tube Amp with a single coil pickup
I would love to hear what Reese Anderson. Buzz Evens or Dan Tyack
would do with this song, or even B3 organist, Joey Defrancesco.

I'm am not a religous man but I have alway enjoyed the harmony of the Gaither band. I'd like to hear this one with violias and baritone violins backing.
