The Austin Paper ran an article today about Ms. Cashdollar's career.

Very fitting for one of the best in my opinion.

Thanks Dave! I enjoyed it.

Her praise of Jerry Garcia brought a smile to my face.
(I also agree)

I'm looking forward to hearing much more music from Cindy.

I heard Ms. Cashdollar a couple of times with AATW, And then most recently with James Hand. It was great to hear her really play instead of being restricted to parts and an occasional solo. I was also amazed at her ability to get through a two hour set without a break.

It's a delight to stand close to her and Redd when she sits in with Haybale. I've gotten to know her well since I first saw the Wheel at the Live sessions in Vegas from 1996.

"I've tried to play the pedal steel guitar, but it's too mental, too mechanical"

Man, there are days when this really rings true!!

Thanks, Dave. Good read! Beautiful, talented, non-pedal player, (just kidding! Smile ) What more could you ask for!

Thanks Dave, that was great. What a gal. She's in good company, what with all the others that came out of Woodstock. I'm very happy that she made the big, big time in the music business. She deserves whatever credits she gets, including the Grammys.
I had the opportunity to meet her a couple times, when she let me into her dad's home to do service work. I ran the local Culligan branch office in Ulster county, and Roger was one of my customers.
At that time I had never heard her play, but her mentor, Charlie Ferrara, (my son's brother-in-law), bragged about her talent quite a lot. And I'm not sure but, he may have given her the first dobro. Charlie was like that.
My wife, who was my secretary, got to spend more time talking with her than I ever did, as she came into the office every month. The last time my wife saw her was when she was leaving for Nashville along with her husband, of course. We never saw her again until we saw her with AATW on a tv show.
We're very happy for her, that she became so successful. What a story her life has been.

Cindy, if you ever surf the Forum, maybe you could drop me an email. I didn't see your email address listed, and I can understand that.
Keep pickin' and hang in there as long as you're able to pick.
