I recently cleaned up my 8 string Emmons lap steel. I don't know how that little pickup does it, but it sounds great, especially for the bluesy stuff we do.

I'd like to replace the original 4-on-a-plate tuning pegs. Any ideas on where to look? Stew-Mac and the other usual suspects have 3-on-a-plate and single tuners. Mando tuners have open gears, and I'd rather have sealed (or covered) gears.

Also, any ideas on where I can find some reasonably priced legs to put on this guitar? Thanks, all.

Peter

I couldn't find 4 on a plate, sealed tuners, but as for legs, in my opinion, Bobby Seymore's legs are the best on the planet. Well worth the money. The quality and robustness is unmatched anywhere in my book. Check it out here http://www.steelguitar.net/
Leg sockets are also available.
