Hi Tom from England.
I hope you don't mind my asking, but, what amps did you use when you were with Ricky Nelson ?. Did you ever use the Risson, as I noticed that Risson amps, according to their 70's brochure, were supplied to the band, or was it always a twin reverb ?.
Thanks in anticipation.
Barry

Barry, I can probably help you with that. I don't believe Tom ever used a Risson. He has stuck with either a Twin and/or a Fender Bassman all these years. He only gets on every once n awhile..so I hope this helps.

Hi, Barry,
Some guys emailed me that there was a question for me on the forum. And I would be glad to answer you. Although, Dale Dorsey is very good friend, he missed this one. I guess we never talked about the Risson amp. I did use one for several years when I was with Rick Nelson. They were made by my friend Bob Risse. You know he was with Fender for years. I liked the amp because it was very similar to the Fender amp.
Thanks for the interest.
Your friend, Tom Brumley

Hi Tom
Thanks for taking the time to reply.
Risson were available in England for a while through Eric Snowball at ZB guitars and I had in fact tried one and found they sounded really cool, though I couldn't afford one at the time.
I noticed on the front of one of Zane's albums he was displaying a Risson and when I dug out the Risson brochure and it mentioned supplying the amp to The Ricky Nelson Band and it got me wondering.
Thanks again for replying and while you must get many people giving you compliments and praise, I must say you inspired many a player here in England, myself included, who wouldn't have taken up the steel if it wasn't for your good self. I think to inspire people in any medium sends ripples out that touches more people than maybe you realise.
Thank you.
Best wishes
Barry
