GeorgeBoards Custom Shop 1

GeorgeBoards just delivered my new steel from the custom shop. Wow, it’s a knockout. The sound is buttery smooth, just like I asked for (I Iike that old Ricky mellow sound) and the fit and finish is awesome. I tried it through my 65 Deluxe Reverb and it’s exactly the sound I was after.

Now, all I have to do is learn how to play it like you guys.

Best Regards, Jack

Do I have to put it under the tree until the 25th? Image

Now, that's what I'm talking about!! Why would anyone leave home home when you have a guitar like this there. I'd have to retire early.

Couldn't agree more Jack. Took the plunge about 2 months ago and got myself a George Boards. The Artisan has not been touched since then!! Even playing through my cheap 20 quid amp into a pair of "borrowed" British Airways headphones its just out of this world. And like yourself I'm now desperately trying to learn how to play the thing to do it justice. At the moment its the move from 6 to 8 strings thats slowing me down.....always picking the wrong pairs, Its got to get better......hasn't it??
Somebody PLEASE tell me it will.

Regards from Wales...Patrick

I'm glad you don't see me drooling - not a nice site Image
I have George Boards DVD's to start me off with my Morrell --- he uses some nice guitars on his DVD's, too!! Distracting to see those works of art.
DVD is good as it shows both 6 and 8 string playing - using C6th tuning.

Just had to say, "Oh, my! That's a beauty."

Mazel Tov, Jack. If it sounds half as good as it looks, you've got a winner.

Thanks for all the kind words about my new steel.

Thanks Stiener for the help with the photo, I didn't know how to put one in there. Thanks for doing that.

The next time we are all together, please show me your favorite lick on it.

Seeya then,

Jack

PS I’m talking to George about doing an all Koa Steel, any suggestions?

Not only does he make an outstanding Steel, his DVD/CD courses are also. Forget the paperwork, Piburn shows you how to do it on camera; "Do this, then do this, and then do this.......". I wish I had teachers like him when I was going through K-12.

I have, and can play, the very same guitar as shown. I have an issue with the frets. They are extremely difficult to make out. under various lighting conditions. The short strings are a
bit strange, too, as i've always had longer guitars. I am very satisfied, tho, with the guitar and am adapting. Take it upstairs and sit in a easy chair, plug earphones into the 112 and watch the stupid TV.
