Well, in a cloud of over-enthusiasm I bid on this on ebay and actually won, knowing nothing about this steel or its builder. I think I did OK on the price, based on what the pick-ups, tuners and case are worth on thier own.
Is anyone familiar with these steels or thier maker?
Thanks!
Joe

No one is familiar with this builder?
Dang! What did I get myself into?
Well, at the very least I'll have a practice board for when I watching the TV. I was thinking C6 on the back neck and E9 on the front that could be tuned to A6 for pedals-down practice.
Regards,
Joe

Looks nice to me, and at that price you can't go wrong, seems like you did a good deal.
Only thing I miss is a volume control?

Since I am in Denver I have messed around with one. It is not bad for the price. You may want to add some effects to fatten it up but it's playable. You got a great deal for two necks. The parts alone would probably cost you more.

I tried to get some info on these guitars but the seller never really was able to tell me much about the wood used. From the pics it looks like pine for the body?!? When you receive the guitar, please let us know what wood is used.

Edit: You got a case with it! Not bad for this money.

I have a Diedrich D8 that I bought on Ebay- it is a good basic instrument and I paid just a little over $300 with legs and a case. It's taken me pretty far as a novice and actually sounds pretty good. One of these days I'll upgrade but as a student it has served me well.

Well, she showed up at my door today. Cosmentically, she ain't no prize. Lots of sharp metal corners.
Acoustically this thing is pretty loud. Louder than either of my pedal steels or my Chandler. I haven't had a chance to run it through an amp, but I will follow when I get a chance. For pickups she has an E-66 and a PF-1, which ain't too bad. Sprezel tuners and Emmons atomic fretboards and a case make it so I at least break even on parts I guess.

Joe
