After looking for quite some time for a new steel, I have found the one I believe to be the best feeling and sounding guitar. I know you all have your own opinions, and I can certainly appreciate that..so what I'm saying here is NOT that "mine is better than yours" but letting people know that I think that STAR Steel Guitars are certainly worth considering.

Here are a couple links to pictures of my guitar:

This one is when it was being built.

Beautiful workmanship and pearl inlay.

Mine is the one at the bottom of page3.

I love the sound, and of course the looks, but it's also very easy to change the levers and pedals to accomodate your needs...they come with a nice heavy duty case with wheels.

What I found in my search was, the guitars that I liked the most had one thing in common..the same guy did the laquer finishes.. Mark Giles...we're talking MSA, CARTER High end beautiful laquer guitars, just to name a couple.

I would like to know who is playing STAR Steel Guitars, and am interested in your opinions of sound and overall quality.

I also have a Sho-Bud LDG thats in pristine condition, and would have never considered selling it, but after buying my first Star Steel, I'm thinking about selling it just to buy another Star Steel Guitar.

I would like to look into this more. I would love to hear one. IS there a You Tube of one being played that you know of? I didn't see a sound file on the website. Texas isn't that far...I could pick it up.
