Dallas March 2008?

I've been to the Dallas convention the last 2 years and looking forward to next March. Has there been any announcements as to who might be playing main stage in 2008? Can't wait.....

I've been to the Dallas show twice and enjoyed it tremendously. I hope they keep the Texas flavor to the show and don't just book the same players that perform at St. Louis.
It's the emphasis on Texas swing and local players that keep the Dallas show unique, in my opinion, although, ironically, the most "authentic" band I heard there 2 years ago was Bryan Sklar from Canada (with twin fiddles and twin steels!).

As of this point Buddy Emmons, Paul Franklin and Larry Sasser have all agreed to be a part of the 2008 Texas Steel Guitar Association, Steel Guitar Jamboree.
The dates are March 13-16, 2008 at the Sheraton Grand Hotel-DFW. That is diagonally across the Freeway (SH114) from where it has been held for the last many years.

I was one of the fiddlers playing with Brian Sklar, in 2006. What a great time we had. I came back in 2007 and enjoyed the show, big time. Glad to hear The Big E will be back along with Paul. I heard a rumour that Lloyd Green might be there as well. My fingers are crossed.

Hey Tony, I'm glad you enjoyed Brian Sklar's band "the Texpistols", I was one of the steel players on that gig in 2006, and the other was my friend and monster player Billy Phelps. Brian is working on a couple of texas gigs for next march and I will post any that come through. In any case I will be at the Dallas show in 08 and I hope to see you there!
