I just got my brand new Peavey Nashville 112. Unpacked it, plugged it in and nothing but fizzle. Sounds like a tiny 2" speaker in overdrive. I tried different guitars plugged directly in with no effects. The headphones work but there is no reverb at all. I'm sending it back today. I guess I just got a lemon.

Anybody have any ideas what may have happened? There was no sign of mishandling by UPS.

Have you pushed the AC connector firmly into the chassis? Sometimes in shipping it gets loose.

Yep. I did that twice. I checked all the wires and connectors. Nothing. It's wierd that the headphone jack worked (except there wasn't any reverb at all. Even cranked to 10) I guess it doesn't matter now. I just got back from shipping the amp back for a replacement. It will be another long two weeks of waiting. Poor, poor, pitiful me.
Thanks,
Tim

Tim, I hope you shipped it back to Peavey.
They'll make it right and get it back to you quickly.
Peavey has always had the best customer service.

I shipped it back to the vendor (not mentioning names in public) for a replacement. I hated to see it go. I never got to hear how it will sound.
Thanks for the thought.
