Picked up this guitar yesterday. It has a couple of cracks on the top, but my buddy luthier will fix them for me. It came with the extension nut and tuned in E. There are no markings on it. My first guess is that is was made by R. S. Williams in Toronto, but I'm just wondering if anybody can verify that or comment on it. Thanks. George

That doesn't look familiar to me, George. It's quite possible it's a Canadian-made guitar, one that I wouldn't see here in the wilds of California! _________________ Brad’s Page of Steel

Yah, I think it's Canadian all right...but have no idea who made it. |

George - When I researched the Canadian Brasher guitars in the early 1980's, I discovered that the R.S. Williams company was "responsible" for the Brasher guitars, but could not confirm that the Williams company actually manufactured them. I concluded that the Brasher guitars probably came from one of the Chicago area manufacturers and were commissioned by, and imported by the R.S. Williams company.
I believe that the R.S. Williams company never manufactured guitars.
Your guitar, by the way, seems to have had some bridge work done. I suspect that the guitar has a replacement bridge. It seems to be over-sized for that guitar. |

Hi Brian. You could very well correct on both counts. It's not really important, I was just wondering if anybody happened to have one at some time. Thanks again. Regards
