Thanx to those 'in the know' for setting me and the record straight!
I'll try and get the vault to make the correction as well.

The newest batch from 'the vault' www.wolfgangsvault.com brings us Linda in her prime, with Ed Black, not Herb Pederson on pedal steel, at a show in Hempstead, NY.

It's mostly all Linda, but Ed gets a few moments to shine beyond being fine background support, as in an excellant version of 'I Will Always Love You'.

Also, there's a cool '78 show by Peter Gabriel at the Bottom Line, on his second solo tour, with a 3 song appearance by Robert Fripp.

I'm sure that's Ed Black on steel, and not Herb.
Most likely the credits are wrong.
I'll send an email to Herb, and get back to you when I get a reply.

Thats interesting. I grew up in Hempstead. I use to go to the Calderone Theatre with the neighborhood kids to watch movies.

Ron, I couldn't bring up the video but it's not Herb! He's a 5 string b@njo player as well as acoustic guitarist/singer. His biggest claim to fame was with the Desert Rose Band singing those high harmonies with Chris Hillman. Also he was the male voice on Emmylou Harris' first hit "If I Could Only Win Your Love".... The steeler with her would most likely be Ed Black, Sneaky Pete, Dan Dugmore, Steve Fishell, or maybe Danny Pendleton, but not Herb.........JH in Va.

I just got a reply from Herb, and it's Ed Black on steel...no doubt playing his ZB.
