Just picked this one up and it's a fantastic record. Jeremey's feel and single note soloing is very much in the bag of the classic swing jazz trumpet players. He doesn't play bebop licks, just superb, melodic & swinging improv in a wide variety of grooves. Like Noel Boggs' Shasta recordings, the organ sound on a few cuts here is more "roller rink" than "B-3", so I could have done without it, but JW shines throughout anyway. It's available as either a CD or an MP# download for $12:

If you download it, you don't get the pretty Bigsby Pictures. |

The new album is phenomenal, like listening to Tex Williams' band with Joaquin. [This message was edited by Jussi Huhtakangas on 30 October 2005 at 11:31 PM.] |

This is a great record! My favorite record of the last year. Superb tone and touch, good backing on six-string guitar and vibes. I agree about the organ, it is a a bit cheesy! |

I especially like Deke Dickerson's comments on the sleave that the non-pedal steel guitar is one of the most difficult instuments to learn and/or master.
(and here I always thought that distinction went to women!)

Are there any audio clips that can be previewed? I can't seem to find any on that site.
Thanks
