Cograts to both Roy and Sneaky.
Roy has been my "mentor", teaching me some basic theory and chord construction and he probably kept me from just giving up a couple years ago. Patient, kind and an amazing teacher and player.
Sneaky is my entire inspiration for playing steel in the first place. The funny thing is, he's looking down from above right now wondering what all the fuss is about.
There could not have been two better choices this year - both as steel players and human beings.

I agree that Sneaky and Roy are two great choices for HOF.

Two great choices. Roy is a great player and has his own style and techniques which make him the player he is today. A good man to go into the HOF. Sneaky Pete is also a great choice. Played his own style and influenced so many players using the 8 string Fender.

At St Louis Roy let Bonnie and I ride the elevator up with him !
Roy played great on the big stage and although I only know Roy thru the Forum, I am honored to be associated with him even in this small way.
Congrats Roy, well deserved...

Wow!! Congratulations.. on your induction into the SGHOF, an honor well deserved. I was listening as they made the presentation and very honored to share that moment at a distance with you. You have set the standard for steel guitar players and I hope I can speak for the entire steel guitar community that we are very proud of you. Again Congratulations!!:D
PS Roy I would love to see a CD with all of those earlier songs..that would be a real treasure..
