I'm sure most of you have read this but those just startin out on lap steel will benefit from readin this, I was searchin through the archives and stumbled on this very interesting and informative post with some great tips and advise from Jerry Byrd.

This is an excellent lesson in the forum. Over the years many questions have been asked and answered. If you are new to the forum you can learn a lot by using the search engines. I have had many problems solved by doing this.

If you want to waste a day or two just type in "tuning"

One thing is certain, Jerry Byrd made sure to leave us with his lifetime of learning and music.
