just bought a dekley d-10 slimline. looking for parts
bellcranks, knee's, rods, does anybody have parts that i could buy. looking for up lever kits?

Paul, a lot of the older MSA parts will fit a Dekley...crossrods are 3/8ths round, bellcranks and the brass bushings are interchangable (though slightly different), the pull rods are 1/8th inch dia., and are threaded 5-40 for the nylon hex tuners.
Original Dekley parts are hard to find. Linkon Steel Guitars could sell you some MSA parts, and you might ask Jim Flynn if he has anything you could use.
I wish you luck in your search. Your Dekley is definitely worth the effort.

| Actually, I believe that if the rods are .125 (they are) they will be threaded with 6/40. 5/40 would be for the .109's (Fessy, new MSA, etc.). |

Dekley rods were 1/8" which is .125". They were machine roll threaded with 5-40, but that is hard to do by hand. I have threaded some with 6-32 by hand, so 6-40 would give a finer tuning ability and still be doable by hand.
The nylon tuning nuts aren't threaded. The rod makes its own threads the first time your screw it in.
I believe 7/64" or .109" rods are threaded at 4-40.

| Threading a 1/8" rod (.125") to a #6 size generally gives poor results. The major diameter is more suited to threading it #5. Most all steel makers I'm aware of who used the 1/8" rod threaded it 5-40. |
