It's hard to tell with the glare, but the left one doesn't look like a tele style.

Auction on eBay.

Well, it ain't a Dual 6 Pro, It's a late 60s Dual 6 Stringmaster, and no, those aren't the original knobs. They look like they came off some 70s solid state amplifier. If that's a music store, they should be able to (or should want to)provide better pictures as well.

The Fender type knobs can be had from many sources, so it shouldn't be an issue when buying a guitar like that one. The local music store has them from Fender as replacements.

I'm sure all the guys that wanted a that double six decided what it was worth to them and then bid that amount. As always, its worth what someone is willing to pay for it. Some days more and some days much less. And that price seems quite fair to me. I think the sixes usually bring a little less than the eights.

Besides what was stated above, both chrome bridge covers were missing and this late model Stringmaster should have had blend controls for the pickups. These also are missing.

Another thing is the way this was listed with the wording...it does not have the words lapsteel, lap steel, or stringmaster in the description...I did not even see this listing & I check ebay every day, & at that price I might have bid on it even though I have my dream D-6 already...Terry V.

Like Terry said, I think the listing really hid this from most of the market.
A couple of years ago I scored a '33 El Trovador off Ebay at a fraction of its value (with only 1 other bid against me) because they failed to call it a National.
