Michael - you must have the biggest stash of steel guitar memorabilia in the world!! I used to collect most of these adverts when I was young, but most of them were thrown out by my first wife when she did a spring clean one year.

The Basil King bar advert took me back. I bought one of those when I was about 15 years of age. I don't know about being German silver, but it didn't start to get near being comparable to today's stainless or chrome plated bars. I still have it somewhere in my attic. The Clifford Essex ads used to be in the Banjo, Mandolin & Guitar magazine. I still have quite a few of them from the 60's.
