California was Hot! Disneyland was incredibly crowded!
The Freeways were murder! Gas was Expensive, and Hotel room rates are outrageous. BUT:

It was all worth it and I was truly blessed when my wife let me Visit Blackie Taylor's little store in Riverside.

Blackie's shop is in small house on the side of the road, and if you blink you'd miss it. But my heart started racing when I saw the "OPEN" sign in the window.
I had taken non-pedal lessons from Blackie in the early 1970's and later purchased a ShoBud LDG from him in 1977. Now 30 years later to the day, I walked into his little place and I was like a kid in a candy store! I really just wanted to say Hi and look around a bit, but i was amazed at the number of steel guitars he had crammed in such a small store.

Then I saw it! a beautiful SUPRO 8 string in immaculate condition I had to have it! It sounded great the original case was in good condition with the 3 legs and all. Blackie must have known he had this fish on the line, when I asked how much? He said "you could search forever and never find one like that" I believe him... I paid the price and I am so happy now!

I will try to post pictures of it soon. It looks brand new no kidding!

I played it at Church last Sunday and all I gotta say is "Praise the Lord!"

Sincerely;
Dom Franco Very Happy
