An acquaintance left the subject guitar with me for as long as I want to use it. It plays OK but some of the repair jobs over the years
have left their mark. The second string is a mite dead compared to the others and I don't think it is the pickup pole. May be the groove in the bridge is not "V" contoured
properly? Comments welcome.
I am not familiar with this model and it is
not listed on Brad's Page of Steel?
Can anyone identify? Any help or info would be appreciated.

That's a T-Logo Bakelite. I have a 7 string model. Rick Aiello can give you more info on it.

Thats a postwar "T-Logo" B6 ... circa 1946-'48

The dead string probably is due to a bridge issue ... as you suggest ...

Does it die when its played un-plugged ???

Devcon Plastic Steel will cure black ... and will be much harder than the original bridge ... so its a good fill ...

Just masking tape the sides of the bridge ... drop in the Devcon ... let it cure for about a week (even though it says 16 hrs) ...

I prefer to have no grooves in the bridge ... so I'd fill them all in ... if it were mine ... just my personal preference & opinion.

But most folks want to keep it as close to original as possible ... so you can file it down after the epoxy cures ...

Thanks Jeff and Rick!
Rick,
The string has a partially muted sound when unplugged.
I will look for the Plastic Steel product
and try that. I would prefer to buy a new bridge if that were possible?
It's really nice to know what I have here
so thanks againg for the feedback. The guitar has a wonderful tone even after all these years.
