Fender Deluxe/Stringmater 'clutch' leg parts?

I need to find the three 'clutch' parts that fit inside the tapered metal ring, which itself is inside the threaded knob you tighten.
Or maybe there is a substitute? Some of you have surely faced this problem before.
I have one leg from a Fender 8 string that is missing these parts. They are plain metal, thicker in the middle to prevent them from slipping into the larger of the two tubes that make up the leg.
Any help is appreciated.

While I'm not sure if the Fender legs you're speaking of are the same as regular pedal steel legs, This might be one possibility.
I have replaced the part I think you're asking about with the ferrules that are inside the compression fittings that are made for rigid copper tubing. I just made one cut thru the side of each ferrule with a hack-saw and slipped it over the inner part of the leg.
They're a little thinner than the original part but they worked really well for me. It stopped my old MSA from sagging when I would lean an elbow on it.
'hope this helps,
Don

Don,
I'll have to check that part out at a hardware store.
It's the right cross-section profile for sure.
Thanks,
Bruce

This has been discussed here some time ago, and someone mentioned the mike stand type clutch rings. Don't know where to get any, but may be worth looking into if the compression fitting rings don't work for you.

Thanks for the replies.
I'll have to check your suggestions out.
I didn't know what to call these 'things'!
