Saw the Reflections Ridge and Hillman/Pederson show last night in Alexandria VA. Two killer acts.

Mike Auldridge was playing his new MSA Super Slide D-8, tuned C6 and G (setup as 6 string).

He just wailed on that thing. I chatted with Mike after the show and zowie, he's driving a Stereo Steel w/Tubefex going to a pair of custom Marrs cabs.

Tone to die for.

Oh yeah, he was using the same setup with his Weissie...and original style 1 (I think).

Howard, there's an MSA SuperSlide as my next musical instrument purchase, but I haven't ordered it yet-my wife and I have a semi-policy of having most of the funds in place for big purchases instead of just reaching for the credit card.

Mike has apparently really taken to the SuperSlide concept. A few days ago I look on their website for any updates and lo and behold- after starting on a six string single, Mike now has the double you saw him play-and he's taken the six-string and gone to the 12 string neck conversion.

These things must really get in your blood-Forumite Bill McCloskey has become one of Reece's best customers and recently got his double neck.

By the way, Bill, where are those pictures you promised us? We're still waiting!

Yeah..I have to justify new purchases to myself with the promise of gigs.

Thanks for reminding me about the B6 12 string. Mike had mentioned it.

I poked a little fun at Mike reminding him of a conversation where he professed little interest in acquiring more non-pedal products, wanting to concentrate more on his pedal steel and multiple resonator stuff.......
