I know only one guy that used to play blonde finish Pro II Sho~Bud..does anyone know where I could get one?Why is it so few of them made?

Damir,
If memory serves me correctly, by the time the Pro II's hit the market, Sho~Bud had started offering red, green, black(transparent)& solid black, and blue as color options. There were a lot of blonde Pro II's, as well as those that were walnut stained, but as I recall everyone seemed to be opting for the new colors. Jimmy Day played a blond Pro II that was featured on the cover of his "All Those Years" LP. There are others who can probably add some more info to this thread.

Actually, it's a Pro III on the "All Those Years" cover.
I notice the eBay guitar is only for pickup in the UK. |

Your right, Brint. My bad. I was visualizing the album cover in my minds eye, but overlooked the aluminum necks. I recall a lot of various colored Sho~Buds in the seventies along with what seemed like a quite a few blonde ones. Maybe I'm thinkin' they were Pro II's and they really weren't........been awhile back.  |

yeah,one on the ebay is a nice guitar but a crossover and not a Pro II...
I don`t know how many were made it just seems like there is non on the market ever.
It seems like if you want one you have to buy a different color and then refinish it to blonde.
I was just wondering why is that.

Hi Damir - I had a blond Pro II that I sold about 8 or 10 mos. ago. It was pristine, too! I sold it to my student Waymon Moore here in TX.

this may be a Super Pro,don`t know
this is a Super Pro but the finish is 100% what I`m looking for, only in Pro II or Custom Pro II configuration
I had couple Super Pro guitars and wasn`t too happy with them,same with Pro III,aluminum neck just doesn`t sount right on Sho~Bud to me.
So far the best sounding Sho~Buds I had my hands on were first of all LDG models,they kick butt by far and then Pro I and Pro II, old fingertip was fine but not quite right for modern country situation.
