I have been asked if I could find any information on who played for Carl Smith in the early 50's - 60's .Anyone here know ?

Johnny Sibert was with the "Tunesmiths" a long time. Probably him.

The band I recall working with Carl in the mid 1950s was:
Steel: Johnny Seibert
Lead: Sammy Pruitt
Bass: Junior Huskey
Snare Drum w/brushes: Murray "Buddy" Harmon
To my knowledge, Buddy Harmon was the first drummer allowed on stage at the GOO.

I saw curley chalker with carl smith, who opened for
merle haggard in the early 70 s.

A local steel player Elgie Hill played with Carl on the road some in the 50's.
