Fender 400 case ??

Post by Al Vesel »

On Ebay there is an old Fender case for sale. Here is the item #280134030839. I don't know if it's for a 400 and neither does the person selling it. But they say its for a Fender model from the 60's. It gives the dimensions of the case also. So this should be helpful. Hope this works for you.

If you are not familiar with how ebay works, just go to their site, and type in this number on the search and it will bring you to it.

Good luck.

It's too small for a 400 .. Too long for a Stringmaster. Probably a regular guitar case.

One thing that works great for 400's is the smallest-sized rolling keyboard "gig bag" from Sam Ash. It has two velcro-held straps that go over the guitar and just enough room for guitar, legs, rods and pedal rack. I put an extra piece of 1" foam in the bottom for a little more stability. If you can't find a real 400 case, it's the next best thing, and inexpensive (about $40 retail - you can talk them down).

Be careful with 400 cases - you need to be absolutely sure the case you find is for your TYPE of 400 - long scale or short scale. I made that mistake myself early on and bought a wrong case.
