Ok, don't laugh. I'm stoked! I've had the pleasure of playing the Opry many times, and on almost every instrument, but Friday July 27 I will be playing steel for the first time on the Opry. I'm playing pedal steel with David Lee Murphy filling in for my good buddy Jimmy Clark, and yes, I will be playing the Sho-Bud...... MAVERICK! More like a "recovering" Maverick. Wink It's a '69 I rebuilt and raised a-la Don Warden.

Yeah, this will prolly get moved to "humor" now........ Rolling Eyes
It USED to be a Maverick......new guts underneath, new pickup, new keys, stripped and buffed the endplates.........it's pretty sharp, and sounds amazing. But what do I know, I play b*njo!!!

Is this scheduled to be on TV Scott?
I don't see much on the tv anymore with the Opry.
I just remember when they used to start off Saturday night with 'backstage at the Opry' with Porter Wagner, and then go to the regular show.
I don't see that anymore.
Maybe I just am not looking for it close enough on the schedule.
