Trust me, I know what it takes to get these things put together and make it happen. Charlie and Steve really do a great job with this show, and I salute them. Besides, if I don't give Steve a bit of a hard time, he thinks I'm mad at him. And on top of that, it's his turn to buy the hot dogs! I've missed the last couple of shows, and you go through withdrawal when you do that. So as a therapy treatment, I've GOT to get to this one. Add Ron Elliott to that, and it's a must to be there. I want to put in my request now for "The Lord's Prayer". Without a doubt one of the most beautiful pieces ever played on steel guitar. Ron's been one of my favorite's since the first time I heard him. Not only for his great talent, but he always honors God and our country on every show. Thanks, Ron! Look forward to seeing everyone on the 12th.

AND, to sweeten the pot a little, I'm thinking seriously about working up a dobro set.
(Any of you guys got "Wabash Cannonball" tabbed out?)

I really want to make it this time

I squawked so loud last time about going to Saluda for the show back in the Spring and still missed it.
I am going to do my best to be there in August.
It sounds like fun!

We can't hardly wait to get there and meet everyone and play on the show. We have heard a lot of really nice things about the show for a long time, but haven't been able to come. Does anyone know of any nice motel/hotels close to the show?

Coming SOON!

Allen the Saluda Motel is $37.00 and is 5 miles to the jam site, the jam is out in the country between Johnstown and Saluda. If you go to Jax and go up the interstate it takes less time than going the back roads from where we live. The back roads you change highways about 15 times, and a pain in the back. You drive futher on the interstate but get there quicker. I will never go the back roads again. it is a second rate motel and small. If you go interstate you will pass tje show site on the right, it is a shriners building and can play Sat nite and leave your guitar at the site, every body does.

Hey Ernie,

I've got a better idea. You and the girls just come on up and let Allen follow so he doesn't get lost. Sounds like a plan to me.

See ya soon,
Jim

OK, it's like, 2 weeks and change? Got some great players, as usual, and some surprises, as usual!
SEE CHARLES REECE HOLLER AT STEVIE!!!
SEE STEVIE JUMP LIKE A TRAINED MONKEY!!!
And if you can, let me know if you want to play Sunday, it really helps with the schedule.
(Ron, I already know you're gonna play)
And, as always, proceeds go to the Shriners' Hospitals. Come on out, eat a few hot dogs, spend money like you got it, and have a good time with us!
Good clean fun, and I'm STILL waiting for somebody to tab out Wabash Cannonball, so I can get my Dobro set together.
