Not the Marshall. The other one.

It looks like a Fender logo up by his left arm. If so, the front panel layout and grill look like a Red Knob "Evil" Twin (http://www.ampwares.com/ffg/). The knobs look white, but that's how red knobs might look under that red light.

I remember opening for those guys a few years ago, I think Calexico was also on the bill. Both great bands.

Anyway, that surely looks like an "Evil" Twin.

In addition to that he is running Reason software on a Dell laptop, using a Nord Electro with a Line 6 delay modeler. I think he is also using the Nord as a MIDI controller for Reason. This setup is very similar to what I had been using with an alt country band called Pleasant Grove.

Yes, Bill ELm was using a red knob Fender The Twin on this gig, but I doubt it was his own amp, probably just a rental from one of those Dutch or German companies that provide stuff for AMerican bands touring Europe.

A friend of mine has exactly the same amp, I have personally used it with lap steel a couple of times (even recording a track for a CD of his band), and it's definitely not one my favorite amps, too cold and clean for my taste (besides weighing a ton).

PS: Oh, and I should add: IIRC, the lap steel was going through that Marshall amp - he was running the Clavia Nord Lead through the Fender - very unusual, but then, he also used some guitar effects (like the Line 6 DMM) with this keyboard.

Yeah, when we toured Germany I seem to recall one of us getting a red knob "Evil Twin" from the rental co.........I personaly thought it sounded awful.

He, funny, I know this amp personally. While touring in Germany/Austria the Band used the Backline their label provided for their bands (Glitterhouse Records). I used to work there, and still do during their annual "Orange Blossom Special"-Festival. So I see these amps once a year... Smile It is indeed an evil Twin.

And BTW, Mr. Butcher, I remember you playing with Pleasant Grove on one of those Fesivals some years ago... Great Band!
