Check out my band on U-tube recorded live at Middle Earth Cafe here in VT. - The sound of my F-12 (Fessenden Universal 12 with pad) Note the 70's Session 400 with silver grille cloth behind me. Colin McCaffrey, singer, is a great songwriter (and player)- one of his tunes "Let a Good Love Die". We call this particular style Bog Rock. - tremelo guitar and that particular beat. We do pretty much vintage country otherwise. Lotso Western swing, 60's 70's pop country.

The CD is fantastic, this is the best VT band I've ever heard, and better than most national bands, the combination of players and styles sounds second to none, Jims playing is a treat for everyone, (two great instrumentals) I'm impressed!, you won't be disapointed if you buy this one

Jim, sounds like a fun band, Cool song and great playing and good tone. I also play a Fessenden (D10) threw a 78 session and just love it. Much luck to you guys and have fun.

That is very nice indeed. Great groove and pocket from all concerned, and Jim, your steel work and tone fits the song even better than maple syrup on pancakes!

Wow, another local at the forum! Thanks - (I think the surpy comment is a compliment comming from a fellow local anyway)

We are at the Black Door Aug 31st. Come out and see us. I'd love to meet another VT steel player. If you can't, I'm in the Waterbury ph book so call me some day to to discuss our preocupation with mechanical contrivenceses that that change the pitch of high tension strings.

Jim, The only thing I've done to the amp is replace the spider web peavey speaker with a 1502 peavey speaker that is a new old stock I had put up. I have owned the amp about 3 years and think its all stock except for maybe caps cause its sure quite.

That's about exactly what I did with my amp. I rebasketted the spider decaled magnet structure with the same cone you did, and, added a couple of small caps across the power supply per Brad Sarno's suggestion. Very quiet indeed. I plan to replace stage coupling caps with fim types when I locate a good source.

Linda singer, Ted guitarist (who really smoked this one) Husband and wife, were the only two in the band who really knew the song. I'm a little sketchy.

By the way "The Bump Bounce Boogie" is written by Leroy Preston of "My baby thiks he's a Train" fame. He's living here in VT. He used to be a member of Asleep at the Wheel.
