Has anyone tried any of Ted's new speakers? He claims they are replacements for the JBL D series
but a whole lot lighter - 9 & 1/2lbs!!.They are available in 4,8 or 16 Ohm versions with choice of dome & or cone type.. here is the link ... Ron

Note that these are rated for 75 watts. Ted Weber is quite conservative in his ratings so how this compares, head to head, with a higher power-rated neo speaker from Eminence, for example, I don't know. Price is higher than the Kappalite too. Could be that it is that much better. (I just got a Kappa from Tom Bradshaw and it sounds good so far--no complaints).
But this (Weber) is not a speaker that I would think you'd put in a 200W solid state steel amp

I was thinking about putting one as a 15" experiment in my Hot Rod Deville 4x10 Fender.

If the aluminum dust cap really puts the zing on the tone, it might could work.

I have one on order. I'm putting it in a 1x15 cab so that I can use it with all the various amps I have. I am very familiar with the D120F but unfortunately not the D130F, but I will write a review once my cab is set up. The review may or may not be of use to you because of the above or because of the fact that I play Tele and non-pedal steel but not a PSG.

Well, that's what I wanted to try out on my NV 112, but many friends are talking me out of changing that Blue M. So be it. But as I posted on other thread, when I hooked up NV 112( with 5 chip mod)head to various different speaker cabinets, i,e, Webb 614-E with JBL D-130F at 4 ohm, it sounded so good, I almost wanted to gutt it out the NV 112, and use it as a stand alone amp head.

Interestingly enough, I am not too happy with the sound of my any D-10 through Black face Deluxe reverb. That thing sounds fantastic with Tele, but I just don't get anything out of it for D-10...I'm sure many people argue about this.

However, I like the sound of D-10 through black face Super reverb with 4x10, so I don't know what gives...

I should try bass guy's X2 10" cabinets....
