A to B or, A to Bb

I installed a knee lever on the C6th neck for both A strings. I noticed some players raise the A to B & some raise the A to Bb. Which,in your opinion, would be the most useful?

Thanks, Joe

I like both B and B flat on one lever. In other words, a half stop. I pull only the higher A string (.020").

I raise both A's to Bb and also lower both A's to G# on another knee.

Same as Earnest. This change was suggested to me by my buddy Boogie Sherrard. He showed me that putting this change on the high A while leaving the lower A at idle makes for some nice licks and chord work. He was right, as usual.

I use the A to B raise (P4) a lot more than the A to Bb knee lever. I don't play jazz, so maybe that's the difference.

I raise both A's to Bb with RKR and raise just the higher A to B with LKL. I've never thought of doing both on the same lever - that sounds great, as it would let me have the A to Ab lower again with LKL. What I don't like about the A to B raise on P4 is there's some great stuff to do combining that w/ P6 and I don't like to take my foot off the volume pedal. It's that same old thing - can't have everything!

.....depending how much you use the normal floor pedal raising A to B per b0b's reply, you can keep this and add the high A/Bb/B on the KL too. I can see using both these changes for different reasons.

Perhaps redundant for some. As always, just depends on how many pedals and KL's you have or feel you need and what changes meet your requirements.
