Found a roll of MOT celluloid-Anyone interested?

I came across an old roll of faux mother of pearl celluloid sheet as used to cover many vintage lap steels. This roll is about a couple of feet long and is rolled up three or so times in a diameter about the size of a Quaker oats box. It has never been opened and still has the brown wrapping paper around it. The sheet is very thin and would conform to pretty much any top contour. These sheets were soaked in Acetone at the Fender and other factories to soften up enough to wrap around bodies and such.

Anyway if anyone is interested in buying it, please just email me as I have no projects to use it on. I would have put this on the Buy and Sell section, but since the non pedal players would appreciate this stuff more than the formica players in the pedal section I listed it here. Hope someone can use this vintage covering. I can send you a pic of it, as some of the wrapping paper is pulled away enough to see the pattern. offer I know that celluloid is expensive but I don't know exactly how to price this. I wanted to try here before Ebay. Let me know what you think it is worth with a good solid offer.

How many xmas presents you figure the roll will do, LOL. I wonder how it would look on my dashboard.

FYI – be careful with celluloid and acetone. 100% pure acetone can melt the celluloid complete and make it disappear. 60/40 % acetone/water (% depends on weather conditions) will in a couple of hours soften the celluloid without harming it.

Why did I immediately think of the movie "Roger Rabbit".

Celluloid sheet is off to Ebay under Drums. Those guys still use this stuff for vintage drum coverings.
