All right - time to brag: I have just finished converting a Session 400 LTD to an amp head. Surprised

The combo amp:

The raw material:
L: 660 mm x H: 330 mm x W: 240 mm (Dual Showman Reverb measurements)
Dove tail joints, 15 mm (5/8") abachi wood - lighter than pine, but equally strong

Amp head back:

Amp head front:

Amp head and combo as speaker cab:

The only thing I don't like is the wavy grill cloth. The material is so stiff that I had a hard time to pull it tight and staple it. One really needs four hands to do that.

I haven't weighed the amp yet, but compared to what it was before (or to a Dual Showman Reverb) it's as light as a feather.

I did the exact same thing to my Session 400 about 4 years ago, but I used an old Fender bass cabinet to put the Black Widow in. It's easier (and lighter) to carry, in 2 pieces.
I was able to get my amp head into a box that was only 10 inches high. It looks like yours is bigger than that.
