Hey Guys,
Been playing weissenborn for about 6 years now, and I've been lurking here for quite some time, although I have been corresponding with a few of the regulars (Hey there Dwight, Steinar, Jon and Andy!). Just wanted to let you guys know I have learned a lot from reading your posts, and wanted to say that I have a new Bear Creek MK on the way. BJ Hardin emailed me today to let me know if all goes well, they will ship next week. Cannot wait. I've been cutting my teeth on a Superior Hawaiian that I recieved for my high school graduation after I first started playing. Just wanted to say thank you to everyone who have unknowingly helped me out along the way! Great place and great people, hope to learn alot more here!

Hi Brad, welcome to the net's largest resource for on-pitch knowledge and off-pitch humour!
Let's see some photos of that Bear Creek when you get it!

Hey Travis and everyone else who responded, glad to be here!
Ben Harper was my first introduction to the weissenborn in 97'. I have spent a lot of time since then learning his songs. I have also been listening to Xavier Rudd as well. His songs are a lot of fun to play. I have been recently listening to a lot of Son House's early stuff (pre 60's). I am starting right now to write some songs of my own, But I've found that it is hard to sound like someone else, but even harder to sound like yourself! We'll see, and I will definitely post some pics once the guitar arrives.
Thanks again for the responses!
