Hello Forumites:

I just wanted to report on a pair of Fender trapezoid pickups that Jason Lollar rewound for me. Outstanding work and a great service to the non-pedal crowd. If you've been considering fixing up that ol' Fender, I would recommend Jason without hesitation.

I could not be happier with the rich sound, increased harmonics, responsiveness, and depth. I do not miss the shrill, lifeless, low output sound of the pickups that I was so used to... and so the guitar stayed under my bed for a good long while. Not anymore. (:

The rewinds took a few months (Jason's a busy guy!), but it was ABSOLUTELY worth the wait. I've been playing my '52 walnut Dual Pro non-stop ever since I reinstalled the pickups yesterday; meanwhile my ol' '55 blonde Stringmaster is (and ZBs are) sitting idle in the corner.

Thank you, Jason Lollar! (and Leo, of course)

And thanks also to Rick Aiello for the magnet recharges, too!

Back to slanting and moaning. Ohhh Yeahhhh, baby, don't stop (the music).

Jason Lollar is by far the best I have ever had to work on my pickups. He has overhauled completely on 6 of my Trapezoid pickups. I have never ever known anyone as accomodating and fair in price, and in my estimation he is keeping those old Fenders alive and well. Leo Fender would be proud of Jason Lollar. He replaced the bobbins and added more bottom end without
covering the highs. Jason Tops em All.

Every once in a lifetime, you meet a person who is truly the very best in his field. Better than anyone else on the planet. I have had the extreme luck to have met two such individuals:
1) Jason Lollar. (steel and other pickups)
2) Ted Weber. (loudspeakers)

I would have loved to meet two others, but it just never happened.
1) Leo Fender
2) Danny Gatton

Someday, I also hope to come face to face with Mr. Jody Carver. He's another one of those unique and amazing people that only come along one time.
Cheers,

I've had a bunch of the Rickenbacher types built by Jason. I wouldn't do it with anyone else.

Oh yeah Andy, ditto about Ted Weber. I have a 12 inch from him. Excellent speaker.

I would like to add my few cents in giving a big thanks to Jason Lollar and his staff. The rewinds he has done on trapezoid and Stringmaster pickups I sent him have been fantastic. Also I have used the Lollar Stringmaster style pickups he manufactures and they sound AT LEAST as good as the original Fender pu's.
