This was the first guitar I built. Plays really great. Full 3/4 inch decks and aprons. Martin.

Beautiful  First class work. Craftsmanship anyone would be proud of.
Georgeous curly maple. I love that you chose not to cover up that beautiful figure on the rear deck with a pad.
I'm betting your 2nd attempt will be a stunner also when it's finished. |

The pictures don't do the upclose beauty of this steel justice. It is absolutely one of a kind.
I watched Mike as he progressed building this steel and his craftmanship and the care he takes on each part is right up there with the best.

The first pedal steel I built wasn't worth photographing ! All the links were wooden and expanded with humidity... 
I'm always astounded at people who build professional-class instruments at their first attempt.
That's a great looking steel, Martin. What pickup did you use ?

Absolutely beautiful Martin. What beautiful work on the wood. As I understand it you make all the machined parts...amazing. The placing of the changer reminds me a little of a Rayline pedal steel. Have you been hanging out with Billy Ray?
Kidding aside, you make a great looking steel. Can I have #3?

Thanks Jerry O. Actually I do have a cream colored armrest but it is only about half the size of the regular ones, just enough to support the arms and it is not permanently attached. Thanks Joe B.
