Bob, forgive me if this is in the wrong place. If so move it.Last year I started a classic country CD.In a rush I finished it in time to take it to Texas In July.It is being promoted by the (Heart of Texas Music Association). Recently I added two more songs and redid the complete look of the CD. Michael Headric at Micron records will be working with me on the new CD . This is where I'm going to toot my horn a little. This is a good CD. Everyone who has heard it, really likes it. I did the vocals, harmony, most of the guitar and some of the steel on it. If you get the chance to get one I know you'll enjoy it. As soon as it is finished you'll be able to order it from Micron Records. The name of the CD is Favorite songs Friends and Memories.

It's 07.00 in the morning here in the UK. I'm having a cup of tea and listening to Bill's CD which I purchased some months ago and then by sheer coincidence spotted this posting after switching on the PC, is that queer or what? Bill has a great voice and is paying homage to all the singer songwriters who have influenced him over the years and the steel playing is a delight to hear some of it by Freddy Siglar, tasty. Nice one Bill.

Dean, Tommy Miller and I had talked about coming.
Things are really tight that weekend so its iffy.I'll will try, thanks for the invite.

James my friend, Thanks for the compliment, I'm glad you like it. God gave me a talent, and apparently it wasn't making money. To me it has always been about the music, and to hear some-one say they like your music is worth more than gold. When the 2nd version is ready I'll see you get one. I heard a few weeks back that right after this project was done Freddy died In a car wreck in Iowa.I only met once but he seemed like a great guy.

Thanks for the feed back everyone. This CD started out as my way to help bring classic country back into the main stream. There a few independant stations picking it up. I'm going to start doing some of the shows around the country promoting classic country. I've been invited to play in the
Derby room this year at the St louis Convention and the Benton ILL show next year, So you all stop by.

Jimmie and Starla, It sounds like Scotty Henderson is going to play it with me. Maybe we could showcase the Jazzibillies also. Are you still having the Sunday jams..? Congrats on the nomination.

I just got word that FM 106 is playing My CD. 106 FM serves southern IL, Ark, and southern Mo.
Thank you Bob Hay's for your help in getting me listened to.

I was thinking that if everone who has veiwed this thread would buy a CD I could buy my wife a new broom and new pet possum for the grandchildren, as the one they had was ran over and served for supper last nite. So please help out by purchasing my CD.

Bill, congratulations on your CD. I haven't obtained it as yet, but will. I believe you made a great choice in Mike Headrick. I'm scheduled to go into his studio right after ISGC for a recording session. He's gotten a few great players together(some steel guy named John Hughey) and I've arranged for my good friends Al Bruno and Ben Brogdon to play on the session. I really have a lot of faith in Mike's ability to capture great playing.
This will be my first time in the studio for my own recording and can feel the tension building already. Still looking forward to it.
Best of luck with your sales and distribution.

Ray, you won't be sorry with Mike. He really cares, about the artist and the music. He has a great ear.
Let me know if you need a harmony singer, thats all I would want to do with that line up..Good luck on your project.

Id love to hear it, Bill. I have made a few recordings where I play every instrument on it. I always like to hear songs done almost entirely by one or two people; let me know how to get ahold of a copy.
