Reverb in NV400?

I have a NV 400 that makes a scratchy noise instead of the crashing/ boinging noise of the reverb tank. It only does it if the amp is jarred, like normal. Could this be a loose spring in the tank? Otherwise, the reverb works fine. Only makes the noise like normal, just an unusual noise.

If it is a 3 spring tank, then check the tank and see if the springs are full of particles from the foam block above the springs.
