Bobbe Seymour has paid a very nice tribute to Reece Anderson in his latest newsletter. He pays him a very generous accolade which is very fitting.

I was so pleased when these two guys put their slight differences of a couple of years ago behind them. Bobbe has very eloquently summed up what makes Reece such a great player and musician, and it is nice to read.

I am looking forward to catching up with Reece next March after a 30 year break. A real gent, and that applies to Bobbe also.

Joe, you need to get on the Bobster's mailing list. He hits one out of the park every time he sends out his "Tips" newsletter. And yes, it is quite an accolade to Maurice, and a well deserved one, too.

Bravo Bobbe! I agree that Reece has possibly the best musical mind to ever grace the steel guitar. He is a true genius in my book!

I am currenty studying with Reece. He did more for my playing in 4 hours than anyone ever did before. Maurice is a one of a kind, unique individual, and the way he thinks of the instrument reflects that. His lessons are heavy on concept and dont rely on showing you hot licks.....insted he gives you the tools to make up your own licks, and actually UNDERSTAND WHY you are playing what you are playing.

Joe - I am envious of you.

I've always felt that Reece is more akin to a keyboard player at times - certainly his bass notes and harmony are exemplary. His playing is unique in an age of copyists, and unfortunately I include myself in that group. He has never ever strayed from his own thing, and his list of admirers include many top drawer players such as Tommy White and Paul Franklin.

Everytime I have ever worked with "Reece", which has been many, it was a great musical lesson and a wonderful musical moment. He, like a few others, can pull the best out of those who work with him. He is a master musician and a nicer person you will never find. He is also my friend of which I am very proud. Loveya pal, Bobby
