Aw you asking about the cross rods or the pull rods?

The cross rods are 3/8 inch drill rod, available in any industrial hardware store.

The pull rods are 1/8" (.125") stainless steel, and the thread size is 5-40. The cross rods are 3/8" (.375") solid stainless steel, and I don't think you'll ever break one of them! Wink

The pull rods are 1/8th inch, stainless, with a 5-40 thread. I bought some, and a 5-40 die from McMaster-Carr thru their website.

Unless its a Classic SS, then the pull rods are 1/8" Aluminum. Have you had problems with pull rods breaking? I've owned and played lots of pedal steels and never broke a pull rod.
